Ahh, drywall.  You have been a challenging wench.  First, our drywaller’s wife had a baby, and he nearly stopped showing up to work.  He would tape here, hang a sheet or two and dash home to his newborn.  Frankly, I didn’t blame him – babies are lovely – but we were 31 days into our project and the drywall wasn’t even finished being hung.  We decided to have a conversation with our drywaller and we all agreed that the job was going ridiculously slow, so he stepped out and his crew stayed on.  Well, in the week since he stopped manning the job, it has nearly been completed!  Drywall sheets are hung and passed the inspection and the tapers and mudders arrived to smooth the walls.

As you can see, we are again on the road to moving into the house.  They should be finished by Wednesday or Thursday, and the project will again be ours.

We went and bought our kitchen this week.  It is waiting to be installed and the paint will be purchased this weekend.  We are back on track and feeling good.  Phew!
