A clean office leads to spending time in it. I found some things from the past as I started getting all my story notes in order.

I also opened up some lovely new soft lead pencils

and started working with a brush pen again.

It felt really, really good to not only have a space to work, but the fire in my belly to get to work on some things!

Yay for new brush pens and a clean office. The one below the birds reminds me of something my brother would paint.

That is our old swimming hole on Lake Samish. The hills always looked like a curvy girly laying on her side. There was a terrific diving rock and little lizards lived in the cliffside. That spot was our twenties in a nutshell. Maybe you were feeling the Northern Washingtonian vibe when you said it looked like your brother’s work.

    Tami was leaving to go out with her friend and the kids begged to go with her. I said, "you don't want to go with mom, she is going to the Tapas bar and we are going to stay here and play games."

    Gigi stiffened, "That's weird", she said as she blushed. I processed fast and realized the problem. "TAPAS bar. It means 'small plate', not TOPLESS bar!"

Jude Said

    The checker at the store asked our always conversational little boy what his name was. He replied "Jude" then added "but sometimes they call me pumpkin brown". LOL.

    And they are right. We call him that after the folksong that we sing sometimes.
