I Got a little wiggle in my walk on the way home from dropping the girl’s off at school and knew I needed to Elvisify my world real fast.  But then I realized I needed a guitar solo so I channeled a really humble Liverpool sounding George Harrison Solo.  Took about thirty minutes and I messed up the timing on the tracks a little moving things around, but it sounds good enough to say its a wrap and move along.  Man it is fun to just sketch stuff out.

This one is dedicated to my baby, because it has been FUN playing house with you!

Morning number two found Snowflake and Snowman hanging by ribbons from our kitchen island lights.  Each had two jingle bells hanging from a ribbon, a gift for our little ones.

Jude is becoming especially watchful of our elves.  He ate a carrot tonight, under their watchful eye.  A whole slice of carrot!  And he even proclaimed it to be ‘WEEE-Wishes’, AKA: delicious!  Though, after that, he only ate bread.  Regardless, only two days in and our elves are making a very pleasant change in our son (along with natural maturity, of course) and has our daughter’s mind lit and alive with wondering where those elves are going to turn up next…  Tune in tomorrow for the exciting continuation of the adventures of Snowflake & Snowman!!!

Our elves arrived yesterday…  We came home from Target to find them sitting under our tree.  At first, we were not sure of what their purpose was, but after reading the book we realized they are Santa’s helpers, sent to be his eyes and ears to decide whether or not our children will be on the naughty or nice list.  I think we already know the answer to that question!

Gigi was a little bit nervous at first, so she wrote a note to the elves last night asking if they would be causing mischief or being nice.  She could hardly go to sleep as she was full of anticipation for what their antics would be.  They answered that they would be naughty if the kids were naughty, and sweet and kind if the kids are also sweet and kind.  I think that made her feel better.   In fact, i know it made her feel better!  This morning she was so excited to tell her friends about what she found this morning that she could hardly eat her breakfast!

And what did she find?  Upon entering the rumpus room this morning, they found that the elves had set up a whole Christmas Parade!  Many of the toys in our house came to watch as Snowflake and Snowman made their way down Santa Claus Lane!  Snowflake rode in the Barbie car while Snowman rode Barbie’s noble steed.  Jude is looking forward to spending his day parading with his toys while Guinevere’s mind is in overdrive, imagining what those crazy elves are planning next…  We’ll keep you posted!

    Yup.  That’s right.

My streak of pop song covers continues.  Today’s dish is a serving of ‘Jar of Hearts’ by Christina Perri.  Heard this song on the radio and got all weepy and knew I had to cover it.

Revision:  I added a second version in the original key.  I have to wail on it more so it is different for better or worse it either sucks more or less!

and it is worth mentioning, I suppose, that you can right click these links and download the file into your music software so you dont have to listen to it in a web browser.
